After years of research, it is becoming more accepted that one’s diet plays a major role in their back pain. Conventional medicine is now finding physiological evidence that links a person’s diet/nutritional lifestyle with back pain.
There is no coincidence that the three most common causes of disability in the United States are arthritis, lower back pain, and heart disease, all of which can be affected by diet.
Here is a great example. High cholesterol can lead to atherosclerosis and affect the vertebral arteries that nourish our spine and result in disc degeneration and lower back pain. When we decide to exercise, garden, or do simple chores, we mistakenly contribute that to the low back pain. The truth is that the our diets become the more solid root cause to our back pain.
